Yellowhammers singing

18/07/2010

The farm at the moment has lots of Yellowhammers singing in different fields, this can only be a good sign that they are still singing for competition for nesting areas. More young Pheasants seen during the week. Lots of young Goldfinches flying around at the moment. The Corn buntings are still singing. The Kestrels have been seen near the nesting box, with one young seen outside the box near the road but was able to fly to safety. Another young Leveret was seen in the leek field a week ago along with a adult near by.
